MapOpera on Tap San Francisco and Air Opera Collective bring you a double bill of Aerial Opera- classic opera gems brought into 5D to delight the spirit and the senses! Georges Bizet's famous femme fatale recalls her fate through a dreamscape replete with surrealistic aerial acts that draw out the heart and musical character of this well-known tale. Maurice Ravel's bewitching storybook fantasy comes to life as the otherworldly characters are reflected in opera singers on stage and their shadowy aerial counterparts.
Presented with a live orchestra arranged and directed by Conductor Andrew Chung. Aerial Arts Director Drago Nesa aka Madamn Burnz leads a stunning cast of aerial performers as well as features in two unforgettable aerial acts. Producer and Director mezzo-soprano Sophia Santulli is a singing aerialist starring as Carmen in "La Rêve de Carmen" or "Carmen's Dream" and featured as L'Ecureuil in "L'Enfant et les Sortilèges" or "The Bewitched Child".
