Even die-hard opera afficionados are surprised to hear of a fourth lyrical take on the classic fairytale. This is not one to be missed…just be sure to be home by midnight!

In this operatic retelling, we meet Cinderella as she’s wondering if, perhaps, someday her dreams of falling in love and leaving her neglectful family will come true. The Prince, who is always adored for his riches and stature, comes to Cinderella’s home disguised as a beggar. When Cinderella shows him kindness and understanding, despite his unsavory appearance, he knows she is a good person and falls instantly in love. Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother uses her magic to create Cinderella’s enchanted gown, slippers, and pumpkin carriage to get her to the ball on time to meet her prince, but will her wicked stepsisters and bumbling stepfather get in the way? This family friendly story teaches us all about the qualities which make us truly beautiful – especially a compassionate and generous heart. Bring the family out for an evening of live opera music and theatre, featuring professionals from Lyric Opera of Orange County.

This classic production of Cinderella runs 90 minutes and is sung in English by 15 professional vocalists and a small ensemble of instrumentalists. Performances recommended for adults, teens, seniors, and children 5 and above. Doors open one hour prior to the start of each performance. Seating is granted on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached. $15 Pre-sale, $20 Post Pre-Sale. Pre-sale is available until 4pm on Thursday, February 20 for all performances.
