Croisette – Opérettes des Années Folles », c’est le parfum, la joie de vivre et l’insouciance des années folles. Lorsqu’éclôt la Riviera dépeinte par les Fitzgerald et que sont inaugurés les palaces cannois, les directeurs musicaux du casino de Cannes ne sont autres que Reynaldo Hahn et André Messager. L’Orchestre national de Cannes et son directeur musical, Benjamin Levy, ont souhaité rendre hommage à cette époque et à ce répertoire en réunissant une distribution composée de chanteurs français parmi les plus doués, amoureux du style élégant, piquant et plein d’esprit que convoquent ces musiques. Ouvertures, airs et ensembles, dans leur version originale, nous livrent le témoignage de ce vent de douceur et de fête qui, il y a un siècle, déferlait sur la France d’après-guerre. Pour nos cœurs d’aujourd’hui, toujours insatiables de bonheur et de liberté, cette bouffée d’air frais est plus que jamais indispensable.

Croisette – Roaring Twenties Operettas” is the perfume, the joie de vivre and the carefreeness of the Roaring Twenties. When the Riviera depicted by the Fitzgeralds hatched and the palaces of Cannes were inaugurated, the musical directors of the Cannes casino were none other than Reynaldo Hahn and André Messager. The National Orchestra of Cannes and its musical director, Benjamin Levy, wanted to pay tribute to this era and this repertoire by bringing together a cast made up of some of the most gifted French singers, lovers of the elegant, piquant and witty style summon these musics. Overtures, arias and ensembles, in their original version, bear witness to this gentle and festive wind which, a century ago, swept over post-war France. For our hearts today, always insatiable of happiness and freedom, this breath of fresh air is more than ever essential.
