"The Golden Dragon" is an opera. A young Chinese works in the Asian restaurant The Golden Dragon. He has a bad toothache. His colleagues rip out the tooth with pliers. The tooth ends up in Inga's Thai soup. The Chinese bleed to death. His dead body is thrown into the river and takes a long journey back home. The Chinese was actually looking for his sister. Roland Schimmelpfennig's theater piece was adapted into an opera. The opera offers a light and deep story about dealing with flight and immigration.
