The director of the performance is a young artist Pia Partum , who has already completed over a dozen opera and dramatic productions highly appreciated by audiences and critics. The musical direction was taken over by one of the most talented young Polish conductors - Rafał Kłoczko . The performance also uses visualizations by the filmmaker Wojciech Puś .

In our interpretation, I focus on conveying a love story full of melancholy and charm with a slightly bitter happy ending - emphasizes the director, Pia Partum . I show the plot in an entourage allusion to the bygone era of the 20s of the last century - extremely visually impressive times (coinciding with the time when the libretto was created) when it comes to fashion. At the same time, it is so distant that the presented story takes on a taste of a long-gone glory, a memory of something that has been irretrievably gone. The bygone elegance and old haberdashery - adds the director.

"Księżniczka Czardasza" is one of the most popular operetta titles, which has always enjoyed the unflagging popularity of Bytom audiences. We believe that Music lovers missed him in the repertoire, because the story of Edwin, who falls in love with the Variete star - Sylvia, can be watched and listened to endlessly. It is Kálmán's greatest success and, at the same time, one of the most outstanding works of the newer Viennese operetta. Lots of beloved and beautiful melodies: the famous Sylvia chardash and the duets "In the rhythm of the fight, the heart sings", "Artists from Variete" or "Although there are a lot of girls in the world."

Operetta works in Poland are wrongly considered to be inferior to opera, and a melodic invention, often very colorful, well-thought-out orchestration, or moving love stories could envy many other works - assures the music director, Rafał Kłoczko. "Księżniczka czardasza" is a beautiful operetta with a well-constructed drama and music that perfectly reflects the feelings of the heroes. The use of leitmotifs binds the score together and allows the recipient to better follow the fate of the characters. Together with the director, we focused on the melodramatic elements of this work to create a true and moving story, where every word harmonizes with the music - adds the conductor.

Reżyserem spektaklu jest młoda artystka Pia Partum, która ma już na swoim koncie kilkanaście  operowych i dramatycznych inscenizacji wysoko ocenianych przez publiczność i krytyków. Kierownictwo muzyczne objął jeden z najzdolniejszych młodych polskich dyrygentów - Rafał Kłoczko. W spektaklu wykorzystane są także wizualizacje autorstwa filmowca Wojciecha Pusia.

W naszej interpretacji skupiam się na oddaniu pełnej melancholii i uroku miłosnej historii z nieco gorzkim happy endem – podkreśla reżyserka, Pia Partum. Ukazuję fabułę w entourage'u aluzji do minionej epoki lat 20 ubiegłego stulecia – niezwykle efektownych wizualnie czasów (zbieżnych przy tym z czasem powstania libretta) jeśli chodzi o modę. Jednocześnie na tyle odległych, że przedstawiana historia nabiera posmaku dawno minionej świetności, wspomnienia czegoś, co bezpowrotnie minęło. Bezpowrotnie minionej elegancji i dawnej galanterii – dodaje reżyserka.

„Księżniczka czardasza” to jeden z najbardziej lubianych tytułów operetkowych, który zawsze cieszył się niesłabnącym powodzeniem bytomskiej publiczności. Wierzymy, że Melomanom brakowało go w repertuarze, bo historię Edwina, który zakochuje się w gwieździe Variete – Sylvii, można oglądać i słuchać bez końca. To największy sukces Kálmána, a jednocześnie jedno z najwybitniejszych dzieł nowszej operetki wiedeńskiej. Mnóstwu tu lubianych i pięknych melodii: słynny czardasz Sylvii oraz duety „W rytm walczyka serce śpiewa”, „Artystki z Variete” czy „Choć na świecie dziewcząt mnóstwo”.

Dzieła operetkowe w Polsce niesłusznie uznawane są za niższą sztukę od opery, a inwencji melodycznej, często bardzo barwnej, przemyślanej instrumentacji, czy poruszających historii miłosnych mogłoby pozazdrościć wiele innych dzieł – zapewnia kierownik muzyczny, Rafał Kłoczko. „Księżniczka czardasza” to przepiękna operetka ze świetnie skonstruowaną dramaturgią i muzyką oddającą doskonale uczucia bohaterów. Stosowanie motywów przewodnich spaja partyturę i pozwala odbiorcy lepiej śledzić losy bohaterów. Wraz z reżyserką skupiliśmy się na melodramatycznych elementach tego dzieła, aby stworzyć historię prawdziwą i poruszającą, gdzie każde słowo współgra z muzyką – dodaje dyrygent.
