A partir do conto homónimo de Franz Kafka, adaptado por Rudy Wurlitzer e com música de Philip Glass, Na Colónia Penal é uma reflexão intensa sobre a frágil dualidade da razão humana, onde a fronteira ténue entre a justiça e a injustiça é explorada e atravessada com mestria narrativa.

Arriving at a penal colony on an unnamed island, a visitor is faced with a complex execution device ready to operate on an anonymous convict. Watching over the pitiless machine is an officer, the only person who understands how it works and believes in its raison d'être.

Based on the homonymous story by Franz Kafka, adapted by Rudy Wurlitzer and with music by Philip Glass, In the Penal Colony is an intense reflection on the fragile duality of human reason, where the tenuous border between justice and injustice is explored and crossed with narrative mastery.
