Die italienische Dirigentin Vanessa Benelli Mosell zeichnet ein vitales Porträt ihrer Heimat – von Cimarosas „Heimlicher Ehe“ bis zu Mendelssohns „Italienischer Sinfonie“. Auch in seinem berühmten Violinkonzert fehlt es nicht am Glanz des Südens, obwohl es in hessischen Hügeln rund um Frankfurt entstanden ist. Unweit davon, in der Kronberg Academy, holte sich Nikita Boriso-Glebsky den letzten Schliff als Geigenvirtuose.

Vanessa Benelli Mosell, conductor from Italy, paints a vivid portrait of her home country – from Cimarosa’s The Secret Marriage to Mendelssohn’s Italian Symphony. The latter’s famous violin concerto also has a southern flair although it was composed in the hills of Hesse around Frankfurt. It was not far from there, at Kronberg Academy, that Nikita Boriso-Glebsky received the finishing touches to becoming the virtuoso violinist he is today.
