Fiński kompozytor – Jean Sibelius (1865 – 1957), pragnął zostać wirtuozem skrzypiec. Mimo, iż nigdy nie zrealizował swojego marzenia, to pozostawił koncertującym skrzypkom prawdziwy skarb w postaci swojego Koncertu skrzypcowego d- moll. Nosi on ślady symfonicznego talentu kompozytora – jednego z największych symfonistów swoich czasów. Koncert pozwala soliście nie tylko zaprezentować umiejętności techniczne, ale także pokazać głębię dramatycznych tematów oraz ich specyficzny koloryt brzmienia wywodzący się z melodii i rytmiki fińskiej muzyki ludowej. Pełen ekspresji początek dzieła otwiera tajemniczy świat muzyki Sibeliusa, która prowadzi słuchacza od rapsodycznej w charakterze części pierwszej utworu, poprzez melancholijne Adagio, aż do wirtuozowskiego, pulsującego tanecznym nerwem Finału. Taneczne rytmy odnaleźć będzie można także w VII Symfonii  A –dur  (1812) Ludwiga van Beethovena  (1770 – 1827). Wagner  nazwał to dzieło „apoteozą tańca” i chociaż nie wszystkie jego części posiadają charakter taneczny, to z całą pewnością dominującym elementem muzycznym jest w nich rytm. Emocjonalny wyraz  poszczególnych części  Symfonii nie jest jednolity – w żywiołowym Vivace, poprzedzonym marzycielskim wstępem króluje pogodna atmosfera, a Allegretto zaskakuje nastrojem pełnym skupienia,  który rozpływa się w bardziej „słonecznym”  Scherzu. Kulminacja całego dzieła następuje w kodzie finału pełnym żywiołowego ruchu.

The Finnish composer – Jean Sibelius (1865 – 1957), wanted to become a violin virtuoso. Although he never realized his dream, he left a real treasure to concert violinists in the form of his Violin Concerto in D minor. It bears traces of the symphonic talent of the composer - one of the greatest symphonists of his time. Concert allows the soloist not only to present technical skills, but also to show the depth of dramatic themes and their specific sound color derived from the melody and rhythm of Finnish folk music. The expressive beginning of the work opens the mysterious world of Sibelius's music, which leads the listener from the rhapsodic first part of the piece, through the melancholic Adagio, to the virtuoso, pulsating with dance nerves. Finale. Dance rhythms can also be found in the 7th Symphony in A major (1812) by Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 – 1827). Wagner called this work "the apotheosis of dance" and although not all of its movements have a dance character, rhythm is certainly the dominant musical element in them. The emotional expression of the individual parts of the Symphony is not uniform - in the exuberant Vivace, preceded by the dreamy introduction is dominated by a cheerful atmosphere, and Allegretto surprises with a mood full of concentration, which dissolves into a more "sunny"  Scherzo< /span>. The culmination of the entire work occurs in the finale coda full of spontaneous movement.
