Kraus, Pergolesi und Mozart – drei Komponisten, die viel zu früh aus dem Leben gerissen wurden. Als »schwedischer Mozart« wird Joseph Martin Kraus gerne klassifiziert, was nicht nur damit zusammenhängt, dass er im gleichen Jahr wie der »echte« Mozart geboren wurde und diesen nur um wenige Monate überlebte. Nach seinem frühen Tod geriet der  Wahl-Schwede in Vergessenheit, zu Unrecht,  wie seine c-Moll-Symphonie zeigt. Sie entstand  1792 für die Beisetzung seines Dienstherren  König Gustav III. von Schweden. Ihre  düstere, melancholische Stimmung teilt sie  mit der berühmten g-Moll-Symphonie Wolfgang  Amadeus Mozarts. Giovanni Battista  Pergolesi wiederum verstarb im jungen Alter  von nur 26 Jahren – mit seinem »Stabat mater  «, einem Juwel der vokalen Barock-Literatur,  wurde er aber unsterblich. Die Münchner  Philharmoniker freuen sich auf Andrea Marcon  am Pult, einem ausgewiesenen Spezialisten  für historische Aufführungspraxis

Kraus, Pergolesi and Mozart – three composers whose lives were taken far too early. Joseph Martin Kraus is often classified as a »Swedish Mozart«, which is not only due to the fact that he was born in the same year as the »real« Mozart and only survived him by a few months. After his untimely death, the Swede by choice fell into oblivion, wrongly so, as his C minor symphony shows. It was created in 1792 for the burial of his employer King Gustav III. from Sweden. It shares its somber, melancholic mood with the famous G minor symphony by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, on the other hand, died at the young age of only 26 – but he became immortal with his »Stabat mater«, a jewel of vocal Baroque literature.
