En partenariat avec la Librairie Mollat L'Opéra National de Bordeaux tient à remercier Monsieur Pierre Ferret, fils de l'architecte Claude Ferret, co-auteur ˜ avec Yves Salier et Adrien Courtois ˜ de la Caserne des pompiers de La Benauge, pour son autorisation à utiliser l'image de cet immeuble classé „Patrimoine du XXe siècle", dans les décors de la production. Les photographies de la Caserne de la Benauge et des Bains de Bègles utilisées pour la réalisation des décors de la production ont été réalisées par le photographe-auteur Jean-Pierre Boisseau.

Révisons nos classiques ! Cette parodie d’une Antiquité gréco-latine de pure fantaisie,
aux chœurs endiablés et airs entêtants, n’en finit plus de fasciner, tant la verve d’Offenbach et de ses célèbres librettistes atteint des sommets d’esprit et de cœur.
Anachronismes gourmands, satire virulente du Second empire se révèlent d’une remarquable modernité.
