The quivering legend about the talented and noble inhabitants of the Latin Quarter of Paris, which formed the basis of Henri Murger's novel Scenes from the Life of Bohemia (1851), glorified the name of the writer throughout Europe. The heroes of Murger's novel, which served as the basis for the opera by Giacomo Puccini (1896), despite poverty and deprivation, once and for all made their choice in favor of art, creativity, love ...

"La bohemia" is considered one of the highest manifestations of verism (from it. vero - true, truthful) in music. Originating in the Italian fine arts of the 17th century, this style found its highest manifestation in the art of music in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Verists were interested in the life and psychological experiences of the most ordinary people in the most ordinary circumstances. In particular, in the first and fourth (final) acts of Puccini's opera, the action takes place in the attic. The main focus of the opera is the dramatic love story of Mimi and Rudolf.  

At the premiere on February 1, 1896 at the Teatro Regio in Turin, Arturo Toscanini was at the conductor's stand. At the Novaya Opera, La Boheme was conducted by the Russian Italian, an expert in the Italian style, Fabio Mastrangelo  , and conductor Andrei Lebedev . The director, artistic director of the Moscow State Academic Children's Musical Theater named after V.I. N.I. Sats - Georgy Isahakyan .
