"The Power of Fate" is an extremely dramatic work with a clash of many emotions and different human destinies. Musically and singing, the opera poses challenges to the singers and the orchestra, which has not only an accompanying role. The theme of destiny as a curse that casts a demonic shadow over the whole work is intertwined with the theme of love in the overture. Emblematic of Verdi's work, incredibly beautiful and influential, she not only introduces the opera, but says everything characteristic and important that will happen in it later. "The Power of Fate" has the fame of a fatalistic opera with a lot of blood and murder. They begin with the curse of the lovers Donna Leonora and Don Alvaro of the Marquis di Calatrava, the father of the girl who was fatally shot by an accidental shot. Further, whether by chance or not, fate rearranges and confuses the lives of the characters, the brother pierces the sister, believing that he is fulfilling a moral duty. The opera excites with the themes of chance and fatalism, revenge and confused values, in the name of which murder is considered heroism. All this sounds relevant today, and my interpretation focuses on it.
