A little girl, a wolf lurking in the woods... the rest is less predictable! Because the heroine, on her way, could go back and forth through the same crossroads, and discover that her famous story can be told in more than one way. But always with grace, with humor - and in music.

Perrault's tale is here dislocated and redeployed by the great Georges Aperghis with the fluidity and unpredictable clarity of a daydream. In the land of dreams, anything and everything, or almost, can burst onto the stage at any time: masks, wacky accessories, various provisions arise at will among the instruments visible on stage to support the action or revive it on unexpected leads. Even identities can be exchanged like costumes. We already know that a wolf can pretend to be a little girl, so after all, why not the other way around? Two childish pleasures merge in this piece of musical theater for young and old: that of storytelling, that of playing. who never tires of retracing the familiar landscape of an old story; that of the game, on the freedom to create rules and characters for exploring worlds other than this one. Add to this the pleasure of Aperghis' music: immediately contemporary, it seems to be quite naturally so. Sometimes it arises from situations, sometimes it produces them, but never ceasing to follow its own course and speak its own language.
