Écrit en 1916 par Colette, puis confié au compositeur Maurice Ravel, L’Enfant et les Sortilèges est une œuvre majeure du répertoire. Au gré des tableaux qui s’enchaînent à un rythme soutenu, près de trente personnages nous emportent dans leur univers plein d’humour. La Théière s’adresse à l'Enfant dans un délicieux franglais, les fauteuils conversent avec une extrême politesse, et l'Arithmétique récite des calculs erronés. Tel un magicien, Grégoire Pont décuple la féerie de l’œuvre en créant des images animées de toute beauté, qui interagissent avec les chanteurs. Faisant corps avec la musique, ce jeu d’apparition et disparition suscite la surprise et nous transporte dans un monde enchanteur.

Written in 1916 by Colette, then entrusted to the composer Maurice Ravel, L'Enfant et les Sortilèges is a major work in the repertoire. As the scenes follow one another at a steady pace, nearly thirty characters take us into their world full of humour. The Teapot addresses the Child in delicious Franglais, the armchairs converse with extreme politeness, and Arithmetic recites erroneous calculations. Like a magician, Grégoire Pont multiplies the magic of the work by creating beautiful animated images that interact with the singers. Blending in with the music, this appearance and disappearance game arouses surprise and transports us to an enchanting world.
