This program is a musical palace of mirrors, in which the vocal delights of some remarkable female figures from Handel's operas are mirrored to arias by the same characters in the operas of Handel's well-known and lesser-known contemporaries Telemann, Graun and Riccardo Broschi, the brother of the famous castraat Farinelli. The Egyptian queen Cleopatra, the Scottish princess Rodelinda, the sorceress Alcina: they are all strong women who show us an extensive palette of human emotions and baroque seduction in the voice of Jeanine de Bique. Since her outstanding debut in 2017 as Annio in La Clemenza di Tito in Salzburg and Amsterdam, Jeanine de Bique has been a rising star in the international opera firmament.
