Directed by Robert Bouvier with conductor Facundo Agudin at the baton and the talented Daria Korotkova at the piano, Giuseppe Verdi's "Nabucco" was performed at the Théâtre du Passage last April by the troupe of Lyrica Opéra, and this under very special conditions. No audience in the room, no orchestra, no more than 15 choristers on stage forced to sing while wearing a mask, sets and costumes reduced to the bare minimum, for lack of revenue from spectators, but despite all these constraints , the artists chose not to be defeated. On the contrary, they wanted to offer the Neuchâtel public, like a snub to the pandemic, moments of beauty through the video recording of extracts from their show.
