In December 2020, the Lithuanian professional theatre, drama and opera, celebrated the 100th anniversary. On that occasion, a theatrical concert was organized at the Kaunas Musical Theatre, the home of Lithuanian theatre. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic the audience could only enjoy the event in the autumn of 2021. The concert program consisted of the most beautiful fragments of Lithuanian musical theatre works that were performed by our outstanding opera and ballet artists. Thus, we have no doubt that this concert is a wonderful fit for the opening event of the festival, and it will be shown, with minor alterations, to a much larger audience in the courtyard of the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania.

2020 m. gruodį Lietuvos profesionalusis teatras, drama ir opera, šventė savo 100-metį. Ta proga Kauno muzikiniame teatre – Lietuvos teatro namuose – buvo parengtas teatralizuotas koncertas. Deja, pandemijos laikas leido koncertu pasidžiaugti tik 2021 m. rudenį. Koncerto programą sudarė lietuviškojo muzikinio teatro gražiausi fragmentai, jame dalyvavo iškiliausi mūsų operos ir baleto artistai. Tad neabejojame, kad festivalio pradžios renginiui šis koncertas nuostabiai tinka, ir su nedidelėmis korektūromis bus parodytas gerokai didesnei auditorijai Valdovų rūmų kieme.
