The programme is built around three timbres: the horn representing the sound of nature, the soprano the sound of human mind and emotions, and the piano (the most artificial of instruments), the sound of technology. We include German Romantic pieces, where the lyrics evoke nature in relation to human feelings and experience, as well as works of the 20th and 21st centuries, one written especially for this ensemble. Nature is seen as friend, environment and reflector. “Tales From the Magic Forest” is a chamber music project serving ecological causes and was presented during Mozilla Festival in March this year in a live stream and was followed by a dialogue with the audience on the subject of biodiversity and conservation. We believe that through music we have found the perfect balance between nature, human beings and technology and we wish to find this balance in the world around us.
