A truly unexpected collaboration is behind the birth of Othello. On one side is the famous composer Verdi, who has already turned 70 and who is creating again after a creative break of more than 15 years. And on the other side is Boyto, his greatest critic; librettist and composer who was adored by Wagner.

And contrary to all expectations, the two worked together and unanimously on William Shakespeare, as a result of which not one but two masterpieces were born - "Othello" and "Falstaff".

These clarifications are needed to understand the fundamental concept on the basis of which our project was developed, both dramatically and scenographically. In a space reminiscent of the Globe Theater with its "roundness" and "purity", recreated by means of scenography, we seek the delineation of a Shakespearean space: an empty space that is "rethought" constantly. A process in which the viewer participates equally. Following the principle described by Shakespeare himself in the prologue of Henry V:

This appeal to the Elizabethan theater, where society recognizes and legitimizes, creating the sea, the night, the war ... with just a few signs will reveal the blindness of Othello, who himself is unable to recognize and legitimize what is obvious to all. Innocence, love and night, without returning to the human soul.
