Murat Coskun is an internationally recognized expert of the frame drum, an instrument he sees as uniting all cultures. Playfully combining Oriental rhythms and melodies with the musical imagination of Western culture, his music is a natural manifestation of his heritage: Turkish parents, raised in Germany, and a student of multicultural musical practices.
Egypt’s Said El Artist was brought up in a musical family and, by the age of ten, was completely in love with the tabla. Before long, he was performing throughout the Middle East, working with star singers and famous dancers. Now, Said El Artist is renowned around the world for his mastery of and passion for the drums.
