Alexandre Gadjiev doit sa révélation musicale à sa famille, les deux parents étant professeurs de piano et musiciens, et sa culture de l’Europe centrale à Gorizia, sa ville d’origine, carrefour de peuples, cultures et langues. Ces deux facteurs ont eu une influence déterminante sur sa capacité naturelle à absorber et travailler, sur ses goûts pour les différents styles musicaux and langages. Encadré par son père, professeur réputé, Alexandre joue pour la première fois avec un orchestre à l'âge de neuf ans et donne son premier récital à dix ans. Il a obtenu son diplôme à l'âge de dix-sept ans, avec les meilleures notes et les honneurs. Cela lui a permis de participer au Premio Venezia – un concours réservé aux meilleurs jeunes talents d'Italie – et de remporter la 30e édition du prix.

Alexander vient de recevoir le Deuxième Prix et le « Prix Krystian Zimerman pour la meilleure interprétation d'une Sonate » au 18e Concours Chopin à Varsovie.

Quelques mois auparavant, il avait remporté le Premier Prix et plusieurs autres prix du Concours International de Piano de Sydney 2021.

Alexander remporte en 2022 le Prix Terence Judd Award, qui lui permet de jouer de nombreux concerts avec un des principaux orchestres du Royaume-Uni, le Hallé Orchestra. Il est toujours actuellement un BBC New Generation Artist 2019/2021, ce qui lui donne l'opportunité d'enregistrer pour des studios renommés à Londres, de se produire dans de prestigieux festivals et salles britanniques et de collaborer avec les orchestres de la BBC à travers le Royaume-Uni.

Alexander Gadjiev a remporté dans le passé deux autres grands concours de piano : le Premier Prix au Concours Hamamatsu 2015, où il a également obtenu le Prix du public, et le Premier Prix au « World Piano Masters » de Monte-Carlo en 2018.

Au cours des dernières années, Gadjiev a été invité à se produire dans de grandes salles à travers le monde : Salle Cortot et Salle Gaveau à Paris, Wigmore Hall à Londres, Teatro La Fenice, Kioi Hall Bunka Kaikan à Tokyo, Kitara Concert Hall à Sapporo, Hyogo Performing Arts Center à Osaka, Théâtre Mariinski de Saint-Pétersbourg sous la direction de Valerij Gergiev, Conservatoire de Moscou, Salt Lake City, Istanbul, Barcelone, Rome, Milan… Il a joué dans de prestigieux festivals : Verbier Festival, MiTo Festival à Turin, Chopin Festival à Duszniki, ClaviCologne International Piano Festival à Düsseldorf, Piano Festival Rafael Orozco à Cordoue, Festival de Ljubljana, Festival de Bologne, Settimane Musicali pour le Teatro Olimpico de Vicence, Festival Animato de Paris, Kammermusik Salzburg Festival, Albeburgh Festival et bien d'autres.

En 2022 il joue à Paris, Salle Gaveau, avec l’Ensemble Appassionato dirigé par Mathieu Herzog (Chopin Concerto N°2), où il est immédiatement réinvité pour les 3 saisons à venir, et fait ses débuts en récital sur la grande scène du Parc de Florans au Festival de La Roque d’Anthéron.

Il vient de faire ses débuts triomphants avec l’Orchestre National de la RAI sous la direction de Fabio Luisi, qui l’ont également immédiatement réinvité la saison prochaine.

Les engagements futurs prévoient une longue tournée en Pologne, ses débuts avec orchestre au Royaume-Uni, aux Pays-Bas, en Italie, une longue tournée au Japon, et l'année 2022 se terminera glorieusement avec une tournée en Australie et en Extrême-Orient d'une durée de plus de 50 jours !

Alexander Gadjiev est nommé l’Ambassadeur Culturel de « Nova Gorizia, Capitale Européenne de Culture 2025 ».

Alexandre Gadjiev owes his musical revelation to his family, both parents being piano teachers and musicians, and his Central European culture in Gorizia, his hometown, a crossroads of peoples, cultures and languages.
