Italian baritone Leo Nucci made his debut at La Scala in Milan in 1977 as Figaro in Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia. 30 years later he gave an evening of arias and in conversations with the music journalist Lorenzo Arruga recalled the close connection with La Scala, which - in addition to Nucci's international career at all the major opera houses in the world - continues to this day.
