The new production by Vyacheslav Starodubtsev (Moscow) surprises with unexpected directorial techniques, emphasizes the power and originality of Rimsky-Korsakov's immortal creation.

“Sadko is a very interesting work: it is both a social drama and a monumental epic. I am, first of all, worried about the theme of the dreamer and the struggle of a person for his dream. Sadko's most cherished desire is to gain wings and fly. But life plunges him into the underwater world, tests and tempts him, but he does not lose hope. This is the most important aspect for me , ”the director of the play notes.

Bright scenery and costumes, video art, an interesting lighting solution - the design of the stage space was developed by a team of famous theater artists from St. Petersburg and Moscow: Petr Okunev, Zhanna Usacheva, Sergei Skornetsky and Vadim Dulenko.

"Sadko" is a large-scale, dynamic and spectacular performance, which has become another adornment of the repertoire of the Chelyabinsk Opera and Ballet Theater.  

The performance was staged with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
