The renowned Swedish conductor Ola Rudner, who has built up a close relationship with the Osaka Symphony Orchestra, will make a guest appearance and take on the challenge of the Russian program. Symphony No. 6 "Pathetique", the last masterpiece of Tchaikovsky's life written at the end of the Romanov dynasty. Then, the young German pianist Mario Haring will deliver the energetic solo performance of "Piano Concerto No. 3," which was premiered in Chicago just before the establishment of the Soviet Union and which shines with Prokofiev's unique lyricism and modernism.
