With a great career of 50 years behind him, at the top of the world, the great German conductor Thomas Sanderling conducts the K.O.Th. in a co-production with the Thessaloniki Concert Hall. The exotic overture from Mozart's Abduction from the Serai opens the way for a deeply classical program, continuing with Mendelssohn's evocative and sparkling Violin Concerto , ending in Brahms' undisputed magnum opus, the dramatic 4th Symphony that constantly challenges the listener's mental and emotional world, delivering some of the deepest and darkest moments of the 19th century.
