Με μία σπουδαία καριέρα 50 χρόνων πίσω του, στην κορυφή του κόσμου, ο σπουδαίος Γερμανός μαέστρος Thomas Sanderling διευθύνει για πρώτη φορά την Κ.Ο.Θ. σε μία συμπαραγωγή με το Μέγαρο Μουσικής Θεσσαλονίκης. Η εξωτική ουβερτούρα από την όπερα του Μότσαρτ Απαγωγή από το Σεράι ανοίγει τον δρόμο για ένα κλασικό στις ρίζες του πρόγραμμα, συνεχίζεται με το γεμάτο εμπνεύσεις και λάμψη Κοντσέρτο για βιολί του Μέντελσον, για να καταλήξει στο αναμφισβήτητο magnum opus του Μπραμς, τη δραματική 4η Συμφωνία του, που προκαλεί συνεχώς το διανοητικό και συναισθηματικό κόσμο του ακροατή, χαρίζοντας μερικές από τις βαθύτερες και σκοτεινότερες στιγμές του 19ου αιώνα.

With a great career of 50 years behind him, at the top of the world, the great German conductor Thomas Sanderling conducts the K.O.Th. in a co-production with the Thessaloniki Concert Hall. The exotic overture from Mozart's Abduction from the Serai opens the way for a deeply classical program, continuing with Mendelssohn's evocative and sparkling Violin Concerto , ending in Brahms' undisputed magnum opus, the dramatic 4th Symphony that constantly challenges the listener's mental and emotional world, delivering some of the deepest and darkest moments of the 19th century.
