The concert title "My love is as a fever" is taken from the 147th sonnet by William Shakespeare. Tobias Moretti and the ensemble "wood sounds" on historical instruments interweave music by Henry Purcell and texts by William Shakespeare in a program that tells of wild passions. Purcell, Dowland, Blow and Preston intertwine with Shakespeare, Rilke, Kafka, Celan and Ostermaier.

The evening was performed with great success in the Vienna Konzerthaus and at the 2022 Salzburg Festival.

The texts by William Shakespeare already set the mood for the theatrical focus of this year's summer festival, which will be dedicated to the great English poet. The focus is on a new production of Shakespeare's "The Tempest".
