Premiere of the mono opera

“The chamber orchestra, under the musical direction of Gerald Krammer, sat spread out on the stage and played this dramatic new music excellently. The Australian soprano Maja Andrews, a member of the Thuringian Opera Studio, interpreted this energy-sapping part of nuances carefully and deeply and brought the spiritual and spiritual development of the young girl into a woman and her despair and hope credibly across. (...) Maia Andrew's gripping, credible and deeply captivating interpretation of this serious material, supported by the sound of Anne's development from the yearning, to the exploring, to the carefree, grotesque, sliding music, made this performance a recommendable and unforgettable experience. (... ) After a silence of contemplation, there was huge applause for everyone involved. An absolute recommendation! "

Highly poetic and deeply touching

“An impressive staging of great intensity. (...) It is an event to experience this sensitive and powerful singer as Anne Frank. Her Anne is a funny goblin, who forgets the threat of death in carefree moments, only to watch death come closer and closer in deep despair with Frid's music. Reinforced by recent isolation experiences, the short hour with the singer, the great musicians and this stringent staging goes deep under your skin. "

Where is Mister Bunbury?

“'My friend Bunbury' as a leitmotif song, but also 'Just like you', 'Picadilly' or Sunshine Girl 'or the cabinet piece for Lady Bracknell' A bit of horror and a bit of sex 'sound like top-class musicals [...]. This summer theater production has its entertainment value because everyone enjoys it. "

Double premieres of the two operas "The Telephone" and "The Human Voice" in the theater tent

Mariam Zuvieta chatters so beautifully, Alejandro Lárraga Schleske desperately with a warm, stable baritone in the plush, playful stage set by Elena Köhler and they show: sometimes comedy situations don't need more than a telephone cable.

Lonely together

“The applause for the last opera premiere before the lockdown surged towards the Gera artists long and empathically. (...) for the excellent implementation of two one-act plays. Actually, this mini-drama, which testifies to Menotti's enormous stage sense, was only intended for entertainment. But Kuntze, who lives out the comedian with pleasure and refinement, makes more of it in the end. To experience these two [Zubieta and Schleske] is pure joy. Their precise, pointed soprano and his warm-hearted, sonorous tenor characterize the characters as excellently as director Kuntze keeps them in motion and creates sparks from every detail of the grotesque. How sensitive and nuanced Anne Preuss (...) sings this demanding part is simply terrific. (... ) With a clever division of forces, she dominates the narrow stage terrain as a singer-actress - without showing off, with enchanting humility. The Philharmonic Orchestra under Kapellmeister Yury Ilinov contributes a richness of sound that is impressed by impressionism with its chamber music strength. How multi-layered, parable-like and how contemporary theater can be: This unique evening provided a lasting example of this. Chapeau! " parabolic and with a current reference theater can work: This unique evening offered a lasting example. Chapeau!
