The theater in Koblenz, not far from the Electoral Palace, is the only surviving neoclassical theater building on the Middle Rhine and the earliest surviving example of a gallery theater in Germany (in contrast to the earlier box theater).

The Theater Koblenz has almost 200 permanent employees from around 23 nations who practice 27 different professions. Markus Dietze has been director since the 2009/2010 season.

Today, more than 200 years after the first premiere at Deinhardplatz, the will and the desire to play theater in and for Koblenz and the region are unbroken. After all, a brief look at one's own history shows that it was not always easy to offer art, but it was never impossible.
