The Bulgarian soprano Anna Todorova has studied singing at the Sofia Conservatory with prof. Bojka Kosseva and at the National Academy of Music in Sofia under the pedagogic tutelage of Docent Sabin Markov. She began her carrier on the stage of the National Opera in Sofia where she created Mozart’s Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte) and Konstanze (Die Entführung aus dem Serail), Verdi’s Gilda (Rigoletto) and Luisa Miller, Rachel (Halévy: La Juive) and other roles. In 1998 she became a laureate of the 35th International Singing Contest Francisco Viñas in Barcelona. From 1997 she lives in the Czech Republic. She was engaged first at the J. K. Tyl Theatre in Plzeň, where she sang Lucia (Donizetti: Lucia di Lammermoor), Margherita (Boito: Mefistofele) or Abigaille (Verdi: Nabucco). From 1998
