Yevgenia Dolgopolova, mezzo-soprano, was born in 1983 in the Rostov region of southern Russia. She began studying opera at the age of 19. In 2004 she graduated from the Rostov State College of Music with a distinction. She is currently studying at the Rachmaninov State Academy of Music in Rostov, and from March 2007 has also been working as a soloist in operatic productions for Rostov theatre. In 2007 she was a fi nalist in the 3rd V. Barsova Russian Vocal Competition. Her repertoire includes a wide variety of songs and arias. Her operatic credits include Dorabella in Così fan Tutte, Paulina in The Queen of Spades, Olga and Fillipiewna in Eugene Onegin, and Suzuki in Madame Butterfly.
