Lucerna, SvizzeraThe lyric soprano Eyrún Unnarsdóttir was born in Akureyri, Iceland. As of season 21/22 she is a part of the solo ensemble of Luzerner Theater and will be seen this season as Tatiana in «Eugene Onegin», Die Feldmarschallin in «Der Rosenkavalier» and the title role in «Alcina». In 2019, she made her house and role debut as the Countess in «Le nozze di Figaro» with the Icelandic Opera and was nominated as Singer of the Year at the Icelandic Theatre Awards in 2020. Eyrún is a prize winner of the International Vocal Competition Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg for her portrayal of the role of Fiordiligi in «Così fan tutte», followed with the role of Agathe in «Der Freischütz» at Stadttheater Baden. As a recitalist and collaborator, Eyrún performed Le Marteau sans maître by Pierre Boulez at the Arn
