Regensburg, GermanyKirsten Labonte is a sought after freelance opera and concert singer. In the 2016-17 season, she will be appearing at Landestheater Detmold as guest in the roles of Sister Robert Anne in Non(n) sens (D. Goggin) and Hilda Mack in Elegy for Young Lovers (HW Henze). Kirsten was a member of the Landestheater Detmold opera studio from 2014-16, where she took on important roles such as, Adele in Die Fledermaus (J. Strauss), Musetta in La Bohème (G. Puccini), Sandrina in Gärtnerin aus Liebe, and Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute (both WA Mozart). She was honoured twice with the Detmold Theatre Prize (2014/15 young talent award, 2015/16 award as best musical theatre singer) and the special acknowledgement of both the Detmold theatre and its audience.
