With triumphant success, Il trovatore was soon staged in Paris, London, St. Petersburg and other European cities. The opera gained fame, recognition and love thanks to its inexhaustible melodic richness. It was music full of passion, anger, ardent anguish, and sometimes the most tender, sublime lyrics that won her immense popularity.
