One of the program lines of the
Legion of Honor is to invite the
voice. Discover a new facet
of a musician, whether conductor, pianist,
singer, composer, is one
other. Alain Altinoglu is one of the
the most talented chefs of his generation,
in particular in the field of
the opera. Carmen, La Belle Hélène,
Charlotte but also great roles
Wagnerians, Nora Gubisch is one
current dramatic mezzos.
Inseparable from the city, the Festival
gather on stage. It's piano
that Alain Altinoglu directs the famous
Summer Nights, cycle of six melodies by
Berlioz, whose evocative title recalls
a famous Shakespearean dream…
Lyrical and poetic summit, breath

colours… Before the Requiem in the
Basilica, the intimacy of Summer Nights at the
Legion of Honor.

L’une des lignes du programme de la
Légion d’Honneur est d’y convier la
voix. Découvrir une nouvelle facette
d’un musicien, qu’il soit chef, pianiste,
chanteur, compositeur, en est une
autre. Alain Altinoglu fait partie des
chefs les plus doués de sa génération,
en particulier dans le domaine de
l’opéra. Carmen, La Belle Hélène,
Charlotte mais aussi de grands rôles
wagnériens, Nora Gubisch est l’une
des mezzos dramatiques actuelles.
Inséparables à la ville, le Festival les
réunit à la scène. C’est du piano
qu’Alain Altinoglu dirige les fameuses
Nuits d’été, cycle de six mélodies de
Berlioz, dont le titre évocateur rappelle
un célèbre Songe shakespearien…
Sommet lyrique et poétique, du souffle
et de l’ampleur, de la sensualité et des
couleurs… Avant le Requiem dans la
Basilique, l’intimité des Nuits d’été à la
Légion d’Honneur.
