„Andromeda“ – tai viena iš trijų Lietuvos didžiojo kunigaikščio ir Lenkijos karaliaus Vladislovo Vazos (1632–1648) Vilniaus Žemutinėje pilyje XVII a. rodytų operų (kitos dvi – „Elenos pagrobimas“ ir „Apviltoji Kirkė“). Šių operų libretų autorius – Virgilio Puccitelli (1599–1654), su kuriuo valdovas susipažino keliaudamas po Italiją. Operos libretas išliko iki šių dienų, muzika, deja, ne. Manoma, kad ją sukūrė Vladislovo Vazos kapelos vadovas, italų kompozitorius, kapelmeisteris ir muzikos teoretikas Marco Scacchi (apie 1602 – apie 1662), kuriam priskiriama pirmųjų Lietuvoje atliktų operų autorystė.

Norėdama susigrąžinti prarastą istoriją, tarptautinė kūrėjų komanda pasitelkia dirbtinio intelekto įrankį (DI modelis Martin Malandro) ir pagal išlikusią Marco Scacchi bei jo amžininkų kūrybą siekia atkurti operą, skambėjusią 1644 m. kovo 6 d. Vilniaus Žemutinėje pilyje. Dirbtinio intelekto įrankiu muziką atkūrė lietuvių kompozitorius Mantautas Krukauskas, redagavo – Latvijos senosios muzikos tyrinėtojas ir kompozitorius Māris Kupčs. Koncertinio atlikimo režisierius – „Kosmos Theatre“ įkūrėjas Žilvinas Vingelis, tyrinėjantis šiuolaikinių technologijų ir scenos menų ryšius. Vaizdo projekcijas, taip pat pasitelkęs dirbtinio intelekto įrankį, pagal ankstyvojo Baroko paveikslus kuria Rimas Sakalauskas. Originalius stilizuotus kostiumus operai sukūrė kostiumų dailininkė Viktorija Ramanauskaitė. Šviesų dailininkas – Simas Sirutavičius.
Projektas yra Vilniaus 700 metų jubiliejaus programos dalis. Šventės iniciatorius – Vilniaus miesto savivaldybė, programos kuratorius – Vilniaus turizmo ir verslo plėtros agentūra „Go Vilnius“. "Andromeda" is one of the three statues of the Grand Duke of Lithuania and King of Poland Vladislaus Vasa (1632-1648) in Vilnius Lower Castle in the 17th century. of operas shown (the other two are "Elena's Kidnapping" and "Avviltoji Kirkė"). The author of the librettos for these operas is Virgilio Puccitelli (1599–1654), whom the ruler met while traveling in Italy. The libretto of the opera has survived to this day, but the music, unfortunately, has not. It is believed to have been created by Marco Scacchi (c. 1602 - c. 1662), the leader of the Vladislaus Vaza band, Italian composer, bandmaster and music theorist, who is credited with the authorship of the first operas performed in Lithuania.

In order to recover the lost history, an international team of creators uses an artificial intelligence tool (DI model Martin Malandro) and aims to recreate the opera performed in 1644 based on the surviving works of Marco Scacchi and his contemporaries. The initiator of the celebration is the Vilnius City Municipality, the curator of the program is the Vilnius Tourism and Business Development Agency "Go Vilnius". The implementation of the program is financed by the Vilnius City Municipality and the Chancellery of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania.
