Opening this 11th edition of the Festival Dans les Jardins de William Christie , Paul Agnew offers a delightful program devoted to one of the most famous composers of all time: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Although the British tenor and conductor has become famous for his interpretations of Monteverdi, Bach and Purcell, it is only the second time (after La finta giardiniera in 2019) that he will conduct Mozart at the head of Les Arts Florissants. For the occasion, he is assembling Mozart's symphonies and arias in a tailor-made program for an exceptional performer: mezzo-soprano Eva Zaïcik, winner of the Jardin des Voix (the Arts Florissants academy for young singers) revealed to the public of the Festival in 2017.
