Zoals het soefisme aanspoort tot eenheid en harmonie, en oosters en westers gedachtegoed met elkaar verbindt, zo omarmen traditionele Iraanse muziek en Johann Sebastian Bach elkaar in dit programma. Samen met de Iraanse zangeres Haleh Seyfizadeh, de Iraanse tärspeler Ali Ghamsari, de Nederlandse theorbe-virtuoos David Mackor en de Canadese sopraan Elisabeth Hetherington, brengt het Nederlands Blazers Ensemble een oriëntaalse Bach in innige omhelzing met oude Perzische muziek ten gehore. De verbindende muziek is van de hand van componist Mathilde Wantenaar, die zich onderscheidde tijdens de compositiewedstrijden van het NBE door diepgang en engagement.

Nederlands Blazers Ensemble speelt 'Bach & Soefi'

Just as Sufism encourages unity and harmony, and connects Eastern and Western ideas, traditional Iranian music and Johann Sebastian Bach embrace each other in this programme. Together with four soloists from various corners of the world, the Nederlands Blazers Ensemble lets Bach enter into a close embrace with old Persian music. The connecting link is the young Dutch composer Mathilde Wantenaar, who distinguished herself during the composition competitions of the NBE through depth and commitment. Is there a better binder imaginable than music?

This concert is part of the classical series Nederlands Blazers Ensemble. When you book several concerts within one series, you will receive an attractive discount on the ticket price. This way you can enjoy the most beautiful classical concerts all season long.

INTRODUCTION & PRE-PROGRAM
Prior to Bach & Soefi, there will be a free introduction at 7:00 PM by Saskia Törnquist (duration 30 minutes) followed by a support act (20 minutes) by the young NBE East (7:30 PM) in the foyer. You can order tickets for this together with your admission ticket in the online sales process.

Samen met een viertal solisten uit diverse windstreken laat het Nederlands Blazers Ensemble Bach een innige omhelzing aangaan met oude Perzische muziek. Als verbindende schakel fungeert de jonge Nederlandse componist Mathilde Wantenaar, die zich onderscheidde tijdens de compositiewedstrijden van het NBE door diepgang en engagement. Is er een beter bindmiddel denkbaar dan muziek?

Voorafgaand aan Bach & Soefi is er een gratis inleiding om 19.00 uur door Saskia Törnquist (duur 30 minuten) en speelt het jongNBE Oost aansluitend (19.30 uur) een voorprogramma (20 minuten) in de foyer. Kaarten hiervoor bestelt u samen met uw toegangskaartje in het online verkoopproces.
