Pro Janovy pašije Johanna Sebastiana Bacha není třeba dlouhého úvodu. Těžko si představit Velikonoce bez nich. Jeho hudbu si nespletete s žádnou jinou. Poslouchat ji je jako vracet se do krajiny, která je našemu srdci známá a blízká. Krystalická hudební čistota a nekonečný proud harmonií na pozadí dramatického textu spolu vytváří okamžiky, ve kterých se nám všem tají dech. Letos se tedy společně vrátíme do míst, která známe, ale zkusíme se na ně podívat jinýma očima. Scénické zpracování režiséra Matěje Formana nám nabídne další rozměr fantastické krajiny Bachovy hudby a pozve nás hlouběji do dramatu velikonočního příběhu.

Představení se koná ve spolupráci s Divadlem bratří Formanů.

No long introduction is needed for Johann Sebastian Bach's St John Passion. It is hard to imagine Easter without it. You won't mistake his music for any other. Listening to it is like returning to a landscape that is familiar and close to our hearts. The music’s crystal-clear purity and the endless flow of harmonies against the dramatic text create moments that take our breath away. This year we will return together to places we know, but we will try to see them with different eyes. Director Matěj Forman's staging will offer us another dimension to the fantastic landscape of Bach's music and invite us deeper into the drama of the Easter story.

 

The performance takes place in collaboration with the Forman Brothers Theatre.
