Shortly before Easter tenor Mark Padmore leads Bach 's St John Passion . He is also an Evangelist in this monumental choral work, which gives voice to the Passion of Christ. Padmore is renowned for his Bach performances. After more than 15 years, he is looking forward to performing the Johannes again with the Orchestra and Choir of the Age of Enlightenment. "It's a work that invites you to look at it again and again, to sharpen your mind about it," he said in a recent interview.
