Η Φιλαρμονική Ορχήστρα Νέων της Βοστώνης, μια από τις επιδραστικότερες ορχήστρες νέων παγκοσμίως, με πρωτοποριακό εκπαιδευτικό και πολυσυζητημένο καλλιτεχνικό έργο, γιορτάζει δέκα χρόνια από την ίδρυσή της ως τμήμα της Φιλαρμονικής Ορχήστρας της Βοστώνης. Με αφορμή αυτή την επέτειο περιοδεύει και στην Ελλάδα. Υπό τον Καλλιτεχνικό τους Διευθυντή Benjamin Zander, μια θρυλική μορφή στη μουσική ζωή των ΗΠΑ, οι πιο υποσχόμενοι νέοι μουσικοί της Αμερικής, ερμηνεύουν ένα πρόγραμμα με ιδιαίτερα αγαπητά έργα των Σοστακόβιτς, Τσαϊκόφσκι και Μάλερ. Σολίστες ο βιολοντσελίστας – φαινόμενο Zlatomir Fung, που σε ηλικία 19 ετών έγινε ο νεότερος νικητής του Διεθνούς Διαγωνισμού Τσαϊκόφσκι στο τσέλο και η Sofia Fomina, μια από τις ταχύτατα ανερχόμενες σοπράνο της εποχής μας.

The Boston Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the world's most influential youth orchestras, with pioneering educational and much-discussed artistic work, celebrates ten years since its founding as part of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra. On the occasion of this anniversary, it is also touring Greece. Under their Artistic Director Benjamin Zander, a legendary figure in American musical life, America's most promising young musicians perform a program of particularly beloved works by Shostakovich, Tchaikovsky and Mahler. Soloists include cellist-phenomenon Zlatomir Fung, who at the age of 19 became the youngest winner of the Tchaikovsky International Cello Competition, and Sofia Fomina, one of today's fast-rising sopranos.
