Robert Schumann’s Piano Concerto thrills in its bravura passages and moments of quiet grace. Beethoven’s radiantly joyful Fourth Symphony inspires from start to finish. Composed between his mighty “Eroica” and his beloved Fifth Symphony, Beethoven’s Fourth has gotten less attention than those towering works—but it’s a joyful experience for the listener, filled with humor and charm.
