Since his breakthrough in 1990, Bryn Terfel has sung the big and serious opera parts, but at the same time he has also performed with a more folk and popular repertoire. The musical program in Randers will therefore reflect an entire life as a singer, who has offered everything from major roles on the finest opera stages all over the world to the coronation concert at Windsor Castle, where Terfel sang the musical number "You'll Never Walk Alone Tonight" in the duet with the tenor Andrea Bocelli.
 
Together with the Randers Chamber Orchestra, Bryn Terfel presents a program with a number of beloved arias and duets from operas such as Mozart's Marriage of Figaro, Donizetti's Love Potion and Wagner's Tannhäuser. Bryn Terfel still has an address in Wales, and as a very special feature he sings in Randers a large potpourri of Welsh folk songs that are close to his heart. One of Bryn Terfel's brilliant numbers - "If I Were a Rich Man" from "Spillemand på en tagryg" is also on the program, and together with Frederikke Kampmann, Terfel sings, among other things. "Anything You Can Do" from the musical "Annie Get Your Gun". If the applause is big enough, the audience can also look forward to a large bouquet of particularly good encores.

Et stort og bredt program
Bryn Terfel har siden gennembruddet i 1990 sunget de store og seriøse opera-partier, men samtidig har han også optrådt med et mere folkeligt og populært repertoire. Det musikalske program i Randers kommer derfor til at afspejle et helt sangerliv, der har budt på alt fra store roller på de fornemste operascener overalt i verden til kroningskoncert på Windsor Castle, hvor Terfel sang musicalnumret ”You’ll Never Walk Alone Tonight” i duet med tenoren Andrea Bocelli.
 
Sammen med Randers Kammerorkester præsenterer Bryn Terfel et program, hvor der er en række elskede arier og duetter fra operaer som Mozarts Figaros Bryllup, Donizettis Elskovsdrikken og Wagners Tannhäuser. Bryn Terfel har stadig adresse i Wales, og som et helt særligt indslag synger han i Randers et stort potpourri over walisiske folkesange, der står hans hjerte nært. Et af Bryn Terfels glansnumre – ”If I Were a Rich Man” fra “Spillemand på en tagryg” står også på programmet, og sammen med Frederikke Kampmann synger Terfel bl.a. ”Anything You Can Do” fra musicalen ”Annie Get Your Gun”. Hvis applausen er stor nok, kan publikum også se frem til en stor buket særligt gode ekstranumre.
