Opera Carmen is the culmination of Georges Bizet's work and an invaluable masterpiece of world art. The performance immerses the viewer in the atmosphere of Spain, where passions boil and habanera and seguidilla sound.

“The music in Carmen is so full of life, so deeply sad and at the same time so cheerful, so soulful and passionate, so courageous and tender. Bizet wrote it with his own tears and blood; he tore out his heart and left it to us, trembling, sparkling and singing,” is what Alfred Bruno, an outstanding opera and music critic, said about this work more than a hundred years ago.  

The love story of a brave and temperamental gypsy does not lose its relevance even now. In the performance of the Chelyabinsk theater, interesting directorial and artistic decisions are supported by the virtuosic skills of the performers.
