Bringing together contemporary works by Irish and French composers the concert will explore the theme of peace through texts ranging from Sanskrit, Scripture and some of the greatest poets and writers spanning the centuries. The performance will feature the world premiere performance of the winning entry of the Seán Ó Riada Composition Competition. Chamber Choir Ireland is delighted to welcome back Sofi Jeannin as guest director. Renowned for her beautifully clear and succinct technique, and with a formidable repertoire of knowledge and understanding across all genres, Swedish-born Sofi Jeannin has established herself as one of the finest and most respected choral specialists around today. Currently Chief Conductor of the BBC Singers and Music Director of la Maîtrise de Radio France, Jeannin was previously Music Director of the Choeur de Radio France, a post she took up in 2015.
