Legendary Estonian Conductor Tõnu Kaljuste returns to Toronto to conduct Soundstreams Choir 21 in Arvo Pärt's masterpiece Stabat Mater, combined with world premieres: LEX by Paul Frehner, and a film created by Michael Greyeyes that accompanies a live orchestral performance.

Hear Pärt’s sparse yet passionate choral work Stabat Mater as well as Ontario composer Paul Frehner’s LEX, a monumental oratorio that sets to music religious, poetic, and even scientific texts – including Newton’s three Laws of Motion!

The evening will include a rapturous screening of Zipangu, a world premiere of the film created by Michael Greyeyes featuring dancer Ceinwen Gobert. Ensemble Soundstreams, a string orchestra, will be performing Claude Vivier's Zipangu live to accompany the screening.
