Christmas & New Year Opera Concerts 2023-2024
ConcertOpera in concert
THE GREATEST HITS OF THE OPERA, THE CLASSICS OF THE ROMANTIC PIANO, THE MOST BEAUTIFUL NEAPOLITAN SONGS AND THE MOST FAMOUS CHRISTMAS SONGS. ALL IN ONE UNFORGETTABLE EVENING! There are few things more beautiful than Christmas in Rome, and you can make your sacred holiday in the Eternal City even more unforgettable with a special Christmas or New Year Concert. The musical program includes classics of Italian opera (arias and duets), high points from the romantic piano repertoire, some Neapolitan songs and, of course, the greatest Christmas songs. The programme will dazzle you with celebrated out takes from classic opera works by greats such as Puccini and Verdi as well as from the catalogues of piano virtuosos like Liszt and Chopin. Our Christmas & New Year Concerts are truly a unique experience because our hall allows only 100 people and the audience feel like taking part to a private concert. Performers are just feet from the spectators. Internationally-acclaimed musicians will guide your experience of the music with commentary and anecdotes in English. Immediately after the impressive concert, you will have the opportunity to meet the artists drinking Prosecco in the pleasant setting of a free Christmas Aperitivo, a small reception to round off your evening in a quintessentially Italian way. The free Aperitivo after the concert is a characteristic of RomeOperaConcerts to increase the sense of a "private event" through the opportunity to meet the artists and to know what they are trying to do with their performances. The RomeOperaConcerts free Christmas Aperitivo is very simple: some traditional and typical Italian Christmas sweets, such as Panettone and Pandoro, and some good sparkling wine (Spumante or Prosecco). The secret ingredient is friendship: to put sincere enthusiasm in making music and meeting the audience. RomeOperaConcerts brings the Opera in Rome, in the full Heart of the City. The RomeOperaConcerts hall, warm and intimate, is in fact located at Via Venti Settembre 7, close to Quirinale Palace and the famous Via delle Quattro Fontane.
