Teaser for the CIRCO participatory opera World premiere, on the Second Stage of the Opera "La Diacosmie"

Le regard ingénu et émerveillé d’un enfant fait revivre l’incomparable galerie de personnages d’un cirque imaginaire. Les numéros s’alternent sous la baguette de Monsieur Loyal: la dresseuse de chevaux, la trapéziste, les clowns musiciens, le chœur des chats, le prestidigitateur, l’illusionniste, funambules et acrobates... Un hommage à l’univers magique du cirque, empli d’une nostalgie douce-amère d’un monde disparu, au cinéma de Fellini, aux grandes figures du cirque (Grock, les Fratellini, Zavatta, Gruss) jusqu’aux clowns du 7ème art Chaplin et Keaton. Un hymne à la vie, à la joie, au rêve et à la liberté de l’expression artistique.

Les ateliers de la Diacosmie se transforment en un immense chapiteau pour célébrer le cirque à   l'occasion   de   la   création   mondiale   de   l'opéra participatif CIRCO!

Après l’extraordinaire succès de l’opéra Peter Pan, les enfants des écoles de Nice participent en tant que protagonistes à cette extraordinaire aventure humaine. L’opéra CIRCO! met les enfants au centre de la création artistique : il leur a permis de découvrir l’art lyrique à travers une formation intense sous le guide de la metteur en scène Magali Thomas et du compositeur Sergio Monterisi, selon la méthodologie d’El Sistema Opéra Méditerranée, l’antenne du plus grand projet d’inclusion sociale par la musique au monde. Tout au long de l’année scolaire ils ont vécu au rythme de l'opéra et découvert également tous ses métiers, en ayant l’opportunité de côtoyer le compositeur et chef d’orchestre, les solistes, la metteur en scène, les costumiers, les techniciens. La découverte de l’opéra a permis à tous les enfants de s’exprimer et de s’épanouir : fédérés par le même enthousiasme, le même costume, le même chant, ils vivent ensemble une expérience qui annule toute forme de différence.

The ingenuous and amazed gaze of a child brings to life the incomparable gallery of characters from an imaginary circus. The acts alternate under the baton of Monsieur Loyal: the horse trainer, the trapeze artist, the musical clowns, the choir of cats, the conjurer, the illusionist, tightrope walkers and acrobats... A tribute to the magical world of circus, filled with a bittersweet nostalgia for a vanished world, to the cinema of Fellini, to the great figures of the circus (Grock, the Fratellini, Zavatta, Gruss) to the clowns of the 7th art Chaplin and Keaton. A hymn to life, joy, dreams and the freedom of artistic expression.

The workshops of the Diacosmie are transformed into a huge marquee to celebrate the circus on the occasion of the world premiere of the participatory opera CIRCO!
