La quintessence de l'art musical français à travers deux oeuvres magnifiques et contrastées. La mélodie avec orchestre est un genre assez peu visité. Dans son merveilleux Poème de l’Amour et de la Mer, Ernest Chausson mêle à l'héritage de Berlioz et aux élans novateurs de Wagner une ondoyance harmonique très personnelle. Ravel a également composé un cycle mélodique avec orchestre (Shéhérazade), prolongeant ainsi l'hypnose engendrée par Chausson, mais c'est son sublime Concerto en sol que nous avons tenu à faire découvrir aux enfants. Ce concerto est décidément l'un des plus beaux qui soient : tendrement épuré dans son deuxième mouvement, ravageur et résolument jazzy dans son Finale, inouï de transparence dans sa cadence du premier mouvement, et tellement espiègle, tellement juvénil ! Aucun enfant ne doit être privé ce moment de pur bonheur...

Pendant ce concert, place aux jeunes avec une oeuvre surprise interprétée par des petites mains symphoniques !

The quintessence of French musical art through two magnificent and contrasting works. The melody with orchestra is a relatively little-visited genre. In his marvelous Poème de l'Amour et de la Mer, Ernest Chausson blends the heritage of Berlioz and the innovative impulses of Wagner with a very personal harmonic undulation. Ravel also composed a melodic cycle with orchestra (Schéhérazade), thus prolonging the hypnosis engendered by Chausson, but it is his sublime Concerto en sol that we wanted the children to discover. This concerto is definitely one of the most beautiful there is: tenderly refined in its second movement, devastating and resolutely jazzy in its Finale, incredible transparency in its cadence of the first movement, and so mischievous, so youthful!

During this concert, make way for young people with a surprise work performed by small symphonic hands!
