   The concert will be a tribute to the name of an outstanding performer, whose almost half-century creative path has become a benchmark for future generations. Shora Umbetaliyev served at the Abay Opera and Ballet Theater for nearly 40 years.

A native of the Volodarsky district of the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation, Alexander (Shora) Bisemgalievich Umbetaliev, was destined for the fate of a navigator, but the waves of life turned him into a completely different path. After graduating from the vocal faculty of the Almaty State Conservatory, he later became a soloist with the Opera and Ballet Theater. Abai.

   The images created by Sh. Umbetaliev embody high artistry, psychological penetration, stage skills of the singer. The best parts performed by him are Syrttan (“Abay” by A. Zhubanov and L. Khamidi), Bekezhan and Kozhak (“Kyz Zhibek” and “Er Targyn” by E. Brusilovsky), Zhanbot (“Birzhan Zhane Sara” by M. Tulebaev) , Taishik Khan (“Alpamys” by E. Rakhmadiev), Kengirbai (“Enlik Kebek” by G. Zhubanova), Mylkau and Ablaikhan (“Akhan Seri - Aqtoқty” and “Zhumbak kyz” by S. Mukhamedzhanov), Mazamkhan (“Sadyr Paluan” , K. Kuzhamyarova), Melnik ("Mermaid" by A. Dargomyzhsky).
